On January 27, 2009, the Board appointed nine members to serve on the Citizen's Oversight Committee. Seven of the members served two-year terms, commencing on February 1, 2009 and ending January 31, 2011. Two members served one-year terms, ending January 31, 2010 (Chris Cefalu (At Large) and Paul Bruso (Business). The following members were on board as of the First Annual Report: Amanda Adams (ST Association of Realtors), Mike Berg (At Large), Casey Blann, (Business), Kelly Lancellotti (At Large), John Drum (Parent/PTO), Steve Habaradas (Construction), David Kelly, (Senior Citizens), Patrick Martin (Taxpayers), and Austin Sass (Parent).

On December 14, 2010, the Board of Education appointed the following citizens to the committee for a second term commencing 2/1/11 and ending 1/31/13: David Kelly (Seniors/Disabled), Patrick Martin (Taxpayers), and Mike Berg (Construction Industry). Four new members were appointed for a first term beginning 2/1/11 and ending 1/31/13: Ginger Nicolay-Davis (South Tahoe Association of Realtors), Jody Boles (Parents), Rick Angelocci (Parents/PTOs), and Joy Curry (At Large).

On January 10, 2012, the Board of Education re-appointed two members for a second term commencing 2/1/12 and ending 1/31/14: Casey Blann (Business) and Kelly Lancellotti (At Large). |

Seven vacancies will occur on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee on January 31, 2013. The following groups shall select a representative and submit the name to the Superintendent:
1. A person active in a senior citizens' organization.
2. A person active in a bona-fide taxpayers' association.
3. A person active in the South Tahoe Association of Realtors.
For the other four members, the Superintendent will review the applications submitted by interested parties in the following four categories.
1. An “at-large” member of the community.
2. A parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District.
3. A parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District and active in a parent-teacher organization or school site council.
4. A person active in the construction industry in South Lake Tahoe.
Candidates must be at least 18 and reside within the District’s boundaries. Employees, officials, vendors, contractors, or consultants of the District are ineligible. The 11/30/12 deadline for applications has been extended to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012. Deliver applications to the Superintendent's Office, 1021 Al Tahoe Boulevard. On January 26, 2010, the Board of Education approved an independent auditor’s report of LTUSD’s financial statements, including Measure G funds, for the period ended 6/30/09. The independent auditor found that the District is in compliance with all applicable regulations regarding the use of Measure G Funds.

On March 9, 2010, the Board of Education entered into a contract with the independent audit firm of Goodell, Porter, Sanchez, & Bright, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, to provide a "Performance Audit" for the Proposition 39 Bond transactions for the sixteen-month period ending June 30, 2010.
