South Lake Tahoe, CA— Advance is partnering with local workforce development specialists from Alpine County, El Dorado County and JOIN Inc. Northern Nevada, to launch Shared Informational Sessions. Through Advance services and programs, participants can work towards obtaining their high school equivalency, sign-up for workforce readiness programs, and explore individualized career and educational pathway planning. In addition, Advance is establishing a solid network of providers, services, and industry partners throughout the South Tahoe and Alpine communities to ensure adults have access to a broad range of opportunities to help them “learn, earn, and grow” in their education, career and community.
The first session will be held on Wednesday November 9, from 10 am to 1 pm, in the Aspen Room (L103) at Lake Tahoe Community College. At this session, participants can connect to work-based learning opportunities including financial assistance for workforce training, as well as learn about educational and other supportive services. Participants can determine which programs are most relevant to them and their pathway, and take the next step in finding the best fit. At the conclusion of each session, participants will be able to schedule follow up appointments or begin the pathway building process.
Attend a Shared Informational Session or refer a friend in need to learn more about local opportunities that help advance your career or your education.
